Reporting to the Health & Social Director, this position is responsible for the preparation of healthy meals for the Meals on Wheels program in the long house kitchen, a minimum of twice per week and a community lunch once bi-weekly. This includes costing items to achieve the best prices, purchasing and ensuring the proper storage of food items, meal preparation and ensuring the kitchen is maintained in a safe and sanitary manner at all times. This position is also responsible for driving citizens to medical appointments on an as needed basis as well as driving TFA clients and Elders for their monthly grocery shopping.
